The Founder
Loo How Jie (Eddy)
Eddy has a degree in Physics from The University of Newcastle. He was passionate about IP and started working in the field right after graduating, accumulating over a decade of hands-on experience. Now, he is an experienced intellectual property professional who is skilled at advising on various IP matters. He specializes especially in Patent matters, including Patentability searches, Patent landscaping searches and mapping, infringement and non-infringement assessments, freedom-to-operate evaluations, validity and invalidity analyses, Patent specification drafting, prosecution, and enforcement.
With his extensive experience, he has completed more than 300 patent specifications and successfully obtained grants of patents in various jurisdictions, including Malaysia, Singapore, USA, EPO, China, Japan, Korea, and other Asian countries. He has played a crucial role in assisting leading companies, including MMC companies, in numerous patent litigations and enforcements, and has successfully helped his clients to enforce their patent rights.
Eddy’s expertise spans across diverse fields such as mechanical inventions, machinery and equipment, semiconductor and manufacturing processes, software systems and processes, telecommunications, networking systems & securities, and emerging technologies like robotic systems, artificial intelligence, and blockchain technologies.
